Your Choices Make You

We are the choice we make.  When we first come to this world, we are pretty much the same: naked, innocent, scared.  After that our life ends up with a sum total of the choices we make, big and small, along our life path.

In essence, you make your choices, and then your choices make you.  Every decision can change the path of your life.  For example, whether or not to go to college, whom you choose to marry, whether to quit this job and move on to a new one, to say or not to say I love you.  Every choice, big or small, is going to impact your life.

Our biggest challenge is not making a bad choice.  It is, to quote Darren Hardy’s  The Compound Effect, that you’ve been sleepwalking through your choices.  Half the time, you’re not even aware you’re making them.  Our choices are often unconsciously shaped by our culture and upbringing.

Astrology and Tarot are the tools I use to help my clients to become aware of making choices that support the expansion of their life.  Sounds complicated, but you will be amazed by their positive impact and simplicity.

With astrology I study the innate strengths and weaknesses revealed in your birth chart, this helps you make the big decisions in life for example whether you are better off to be an accountant or an artist, whether you are better off getting married earlier or later; or perhaps not at all.

With tarot I help with decision making on small mundane issues.  Have you been bitten by an elephant?  How about a mosquito?  Often it is the little things in life that will bite you.  Tarot helps us make sensible choices by making us aware of all factors hidden in our unconscious.  Our future is determined by what’s feeding in our mind at the present state.

Finally I use essential oils as tangible resource to support your logical mind, your emotional mind and your body to achieve your goals.  Essential oils are of science and of the spirit.  Tapping their energy give us a strong boost to our engine, they are amazing little help that keep us going.

No more sleepwalking.

I will be most honoured if I can support you with astrology-tarot-aromatherapy to make empowering life decisions.

The “Why” of My Doing This

Some of you may have noticed that for the past few months I have started recommending a network marketing essential oil company through the social media, especially via my new Facebook page The Fragrant Tribe and Instagram @fragrancetribe.  I want to share with you the reasons I do this.

Many moons ago when I graduated from college I began my career in export trading business, selling apparel and homeware to retailers in Europe and the US.  I found meaning in the job because through my efforts I was able to support poor Chinese people by feeding them food.  The rationale was that if I could make some sales from affluent developed countries, then I could place orders to China and other South East Asian factories. When the factories received orders, they would need labour (no matter how cheap) to man the production.  Hence I was giving them job opportunities…and food.  At that time (20+ years ago) China was in a very poor state.  I was passionate with my work.

Many moons later China especially has become a very strong country.  The young people in China has more options in their lives and hardly anyone would want to work in factories.  Now when I place orders to factories, very often they are reluctant to accept because either the price or order quantity is unattractive to them, and they could make much more profit elsewhere.  One day I was looking at the spreadsheets and samples in my office, I was looking at synthetic trees.  It hit my brain that the world does not need more plastics.  So I have one side saying they don’t need my help, and the other side saying they have more than enough.  (Well, having said that, I still make beautiful trees and everything else, and make buyers’ purchase as much a pleasant experience as possible.  After all I am professional with my work.)

Then I came across an essential oil company I felt in love with.  In this life I have a calling to build a metaphysical business to heal people’s body, mind and spirit.  Using tarot and astrology, they heal people’s soul by giving them divine loving messages and positive forward-moving energy.  Using essential oils as natural solutions, they are safer, cheaper and more effective means to support our physical and mental health.  I found essential oils contribute a big part of God’s plan in me.

I was first attracted to this essential oil company because of their sustainability policy.  Through their ‘healing-hand’ initiative, this company support poor farmers in under developed countries financially and educationally.  When you buy a bottle of their oils, you are helping poor people somewhere in this world.  I am very touched by this practical kindness.  As an aromatherapist I have been using many essential oils in the last few years, but their oils, when I open and use them, just cannot compare.  Their oils pass the highest quality testing standard in the industry, they are pure and potent.  I have many testimonies from friends around (and myself) that the oils bring recognizable and often immediate benefits.

This is my ‘why’ on promoting the essential oils.  I am going to share a lot of stories going forward, about essential oils, on my new Facebook page The Fragrant Tribe as well as on Instagram @fragrancetribe.  It will be my honour if you like them and come visit me in this cyberspace.  Most importantly I hope these amazing oils will bring brightness and vitality to your physical, emotional and perhaps, financial well-being.

Here you will find all my social media links, I look forward to keeping in touch with you.

Manifestation with the Tarot

Am I too early to celebrate the arrival of Spring?  My vision has been a clear 3 of Cups card.  I visualise celebrations, now is the time to have fun.  Getting ready for parties, and celebrating happiness with others.  My will is strong, I desire for joy and love for everyone around me.

The reason I have been making conscious effort for the 3 of Cups scenario.  Using an intense desire that blends my emotion with a clear mental image of the outcome, I pray to the universe for abundance, love and festivities (well, there is chinese new year coming of course) to overide the 3 of Swords that foreshadows the Februrary month.

In the beginning of the year I divine for myself what is going to happen, I have one card to cover for each month and in February I have the 3 of Swords card.  Added with astrological and numerological forecast this month is stormy and potentially full of sadness.  I have a few friends whose parents are of ill health.  For the Chinese the time just before the our New Year (16th Feb 2018) is critical.

The 3 of Cups card is my talisman of the month.  In a health reading, it promises renewed health and recovery after illness.  Manifestation is the art of materialising your desire through a combination of physical, mental and emotional efforts, all working harmoniously together to get help from the universe.  To achieve what you want using the Tarot, you need to focus.  You can always add mantras, essential oils, crystals and rituals to magnify your efforts.  Persistance and focus are your tools to manifest your heart’s desire.

Filled with love, my desire that February is a bountiful month for you with abundance in family life, good fortune and happiness.  There is plenty for all.

Why Tarot Works?

I think it is really hard to explain how Tarot works.  I had a lunch date with a work friend last week she asked me how and why Tarot works.  She was inquisitive with a sharp mind. The Queen of Swords aptly described her. Then I realised I wasn’t able to explain clearly, how and why it works. So I decided to sit down and organise my thoughts.

First of all, what is Tarot?  It is a metaphysical tool that connects our human psyche.  Inside the Tarot it contains the human archetypes.  This tool is a bridge between our consciousness and the subconscious, through which which are able to retrieve information that are so obvious but hidden, Tarot let out the information to our conscious surface. All answers can be revealed in the Tarot.

In a tarot reading, usually there is a tarot reader and a Querent (unless the tarot reader is reading for himself).  The Querent will ask questions and then the tarot reader will pull some tarot cards for the Querent, or sometimes ask the Querent to pull some cards himself, and answer the questions based on the meanings of the cards.

The rationale behind the tarot reading process is that all human being are interconnected on the collective unconscious level.  Imagine a super computer recorded all human experiences from the beginning of creation, our culture and history: the collective unconscious is similar to this super computer.  Sometimes I think of it as a very deep sea that I cannot see to its end.  It can be described by means of archetypes which are expressed in the images of the cards.  Since the reader and Querent connect to each other in the collective unconscious level, the reader is able to ‘read the mind’ of the Querent via the interpretation of the cards.

How we think now will to a large extent determine our future, or destiny.  Of course in life there are factors that are out of our control, we call them fate.  Through the process of tarot reading, we are making our unconscious thoughts, conscious.  If they are positive thoughts, it will be good sign of a brilliant future.  Just work hard and go for it!  If they are negative thoughts, we are now made aware of such.  We can change the way we think, and choose our own destiny by walking a different path.

May the full deck of possibilities be with you.

Many Happy Returns

Stepping into August, it is my birthday month.  I feel very energised ever since the transiting Sun moves to Leo, where my natal Sun is located.  Often I write on birthday cards with "many happy returns" as greeting note.  Have you ever wondered what it means precisely?  It is a blessing that the return of the transiting Sun conjunct your natal Sun will bring you auspicious moment and a general dose of positive energy.  It is possible to have different kind of returns for example Mars return, Venus return or lunar return.  On birthday time it is the return of the Sun that we are celebrating, and the transiting Sun takes approximately a year to come back to the same zodiac degree – hence technically your birthday could be a day or two off before or after your actual date of birth.

I thought it is interesting to share my approach on astrological prediction.  As people who know me my mind is not particularly clever so when it comes to calculation and analysis I take the broad strokes and make things simple as best as I can.  A lot of times seeing the big picture will be all that is necessary to make sound decisions.  My approach can do just that.  And then if my clients want the specifics, I will move on to use Tarot as a divinatory tool.  That's why I love to use both as with them we can be comprehensive, or at least try.  Before Tarot I used to do horary chart on specific issues, I don't use this branch of astrology now, because to me Tarot is faster and more colourful.  Also because horary needs a lot of precision and detailed observation which is taking me forever. Horary astrologers are clever tribe.  Okay I just digressed.

Here is what I do for astrological prediction, and I will try to explain this with the least technical astro jargons:

I usually do a 'big' prediction once a year during birthday time.  I will look at the profection time lord of the year, this shows pretty much the key theme of that year.  I will study the profected house of the Ascendant, the condition of its ruler and the planets in that house. Then I will print off a monthly profection sub-lord list for my clients, explaining to him the secondary key theme of the 12 month starting from his birthday.

I will computer-calculate a Solar return chart, firstly looking at the house where the Sun is located.  This is another clue on the theme of the year.  I will study the Ascendant of the Solar return chart, overlay the chart with the client's natal chart to find out where the Solar return Ascendant is located in the natal chart.  I will also look at the condition of the Moon, Part of Fortune, MC and Mercury in the Solar return chart in relation to the natal chart.  Then I will observe the transiting Jupiter and Saturn in the natal chart, and after that follow my intutition to check anything else that pops up.  With all these notes usually there will be double whammies found which will give supporting evidence to my chart interpretation.

Once the story is told, I will move on with a Tarot reading, which could be a 12 month prediction or a Celtic cross reading addressing a specific issue.  To me this will be enough to give quite a vivid picture of the coming 12 months from the birthday.  See, it is not so dfficult, or is it?  I look forward to be of service to you one day, my friend.
